Who should apply for a license?
Any individual or organization wishing to use the work of an artist represented directly by SODRAC or indirectly under international agreements with our foreign affiliates.

For what kinds of artistic works do you issue rights clearances?
Artistic works as defined in the Copyright Act, including drawings, paintings, sculptures, engravings and photographs.

How can I check whether an artist’s works are in your repertoire?
SODRAC collects royalties on its members’ behalf in all countries in which an affiliated organization manages reproduction rights. It also represents the Canadian interests of the members of affiliated organizations. Please consult our visual arts membership list, which lists the individuals who have entrusted management of their works to SODRAC. Please note that SODRAC’s repertoire includes emerging artists as well as internationally renowned figures such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Paul-Émile Borduas, Jean Paul Riopelle, Henri Matisse, Marc-Aurèle Fortin, Andy Warhol, Marcelle Ferron, Jackson Pollock and Francis Bacon.

If you have difficulty finding an artist’s works in our repertoire, please contact our Visual Arts Department arts@sodrac.ca.
